So the one you are holding which is the drain in the front next to the drain filter that’s the one clog what do I do? The washer drains but when I want to clean the filter drain I want to release water from that hose first but no water comes out ..when I open the filter drain there is a lot of water release?
Use a shop vac to suck up the water as it comes out.
Thank you so kindly
Gee, I thought I finally mastered time travel.
Same my washing machine 1time up 1time down
Tech gets smarter but people used to it being dumber
bad thing I don have one of those gas dryers because they're too expensive here in my country 🥲🥲 ...i suppose I'll have to go with the old method...can a heat gun suffice? what temp should I set it?
soak it in the sink with very hot water for 10 minutes. :)
Great video, fixing an old R-12 system, low to medium temp! Thanks!
you're welcome, jean!

@@fredsapplianceacademy do you offer speciality course on ice machines ?
@@garza7676 We do not at this time.
@@garza7676 We don't on ice machines specifically but we do go over ice makers and the sealed system. However any questions on ice machines a student might have will be answered.
@@fredsapplianceacademy I’m hvac certified and been in the field for 5 years . Im looking for a school that could offer a solid course all at least 5 ice machine brands . Seems like that unheard off .

Can you use the solder technique for a small patch on evaporator coil?
Unfortunately no. Though it is possible it is not recommended. The reason is that the evap is so thin walled getting it up to temp before it melts is difficult. Also, if one hole has appeared more are likely on the way. Patching a hole in a rotting evaporator is just delaying the inevitable which is more holes in the future.
@@fredsapplianceacademy thank you for the advice
Do you guys accept the GI Bill?
Hi there! We're willing to explore this option. Feel free to have your contact reach out to us. school@fredsappliance.com
"no problem what so ever" yet it's not in a closet or not able to get to the back to release bracket that holds the dryer in place. They always make video with easy access.
In this set up there are no screw holding anything in the rear. It is done through the front. As a repair company we fully understand that accessing stacked laundry is difficult. These videos are almost always done in open areas for production purposes. Filming inside of a closet with a ladder, tech and poor lighting doesn't make the best of videos. Highlighting the AllDolly's usefulness and eliminating the need for a second tech in many cases was the point. But we get it, not all installs would allow for this tool to be used. :)
for the 3 wire install .. you didnt connect the neutral that was wired to the appliance .. was this not needed for the 3 wire ?
The wire that is on the appliance is also connected to the neutral on the terminal block. It doubles as a ground wire in the 3 wire cord application.
@@fredsapplianceacademy Thanks for that.!!! much appreciated !
@@negrilsand You're very welcome!

W\What would i do for a freezer? still use a glass of water?
You can but it will make the thermometer hard to read once that water freezes. I would suggest isopropyl alcohol as it's cheap, clear and wont freeze.
As a blacksmith artist I create unusual flowers, and have a project which will involve copper pipe (made into flowers) inserted into necked down steel pipe. I don't want to epoxy the copper to the steel, and this video showed me a better way to do it. I'd have forgotten to flux! Thank you.
That's awesome! Very welcome Bryson and we hope the art came out great.
"Tinning" Flux though!!
Use Tinning Flux though.

A question? Hopefully you still get this! I have tested several 1N23As and they check goood abbd 1 bad. But when I try to check brand new (OK, new in 1980) the test almost full battery voltage either way! The batterry is 9.2V. They (they are sets of matched pairs) test .1V diffference from one way to the other. Any suggestions?
Hi there! We're not sure on this. Sorry we can't be of more assistance!
Thanks for the video. I purchased similar LG stackable washer/dryer years ago. Now, I need to bring down the dryer in order to repair the washer. However, I found out that the professional installers from Homedepot over-tighten the two screws on the front bracket to the point that screw threads were stripped. They just spin in the hole and do not come out. I will need to drill out the screws 😂
Drill it out and put in bigger screws. you should be just fine :)
👍😎
Switches be crazy
They like to be intermittent and drive you mad!!!
Does vinegars wrks
It will work to clean the dishwasher but it will not really work to remove suds.
I just got an idea buy a whole bunch of people's broken washing machines Etc hire a few teachers and get all your washing machines repaired for free
😎👍
I tried this but no spark at all. How do I know it is discharged?
If it didn't spark the bleeder resister inside the cap did it job and already discharged it. Just make sure you have good contact between the two terminals when you are discharging it and you are good to go.
@fredsapplianceacademy Thanks! I did it many times to be sure but still scared to touch it after reading many comments.
@@Justice-101 me too!
Well, this was a wild ride. Started off with what appeared to be a wild health claim and ended in a pedestrian domestic tip.
I have seen folks write that they wouldn’t use staybrite 8 for a compressor discharge line due to the heat produced by the compressor potentially weakening the lower temperature solder. What is your opinion?
The melting point of Stay-Brite is usually between 430 to 530 Fahrenheit. The discharge line should never get this hot even when there is non condensable gas in the system. Remember we are talking about residential refrigeration not commercial. The compressor is also thermally protected by an overload to prevent it from reaching temperatures this high. If that joint fails from heat the compressor and or over load has experienced catastrophic failure.
I tend to have as many spots using Rinse Aid as I do without it.
Take the cap off where your rinse aid is and turn it higher to allow the unit to add more rinse aid. A couple more factors could be your water its self or if you are or are not using the heated dry. I would suggest using heated dry if that option is available on your machine and have your water checked for harness especially if you are on a well water system.
Can we use this oven thermometer in a microwave ?? any informed person can answer...
No. If you want to test the temp of the food in a microwave remove it and use something like a meat temp probe.

Please Correct me if I’m wrong but nowadays I recommend a steam clean option to the customers. Most newer ranges have a steam clean option. But some with the element on the bottom do not. It’s just a cup of water and some dawn dish soap. Works wonders and for only 30 minutes at about 300 degrees or so. The steam/soap loosens all the grease and such on the inside to where you just have to wipe it all down.
🎉🎉🎉
This is probably for real appliance repair like commercial dishwashers, washers and dryers. The types youd find in a kitchen, hotel, laundromat.
This is for residential appliance repair. We're raining techs to go into homes and troubleshoot/repair the appliances.

A trade school for repairing appliances? Lol 😂 Don’t fall for it kids, they also have trade schools for real trade work.
I did union electrical work, half the time is wasting time, i worked non-union, most of the time the work aint done right. All I know is this job pays very well, even more than what my old foreman gets paid. Trade work aint all that. A Milwaukee packout doesnt make you good at what you do lol
